After a lengthy chat, you will be presented with another choice. The next step will be to use Serpent Holes to travel to the Chamber of the Lord of Hollows. Choose to kill Abraxis and you will have a moderately challenging boss fight on your hands completing which yields the Soul of Abraxis. The lift inside will take you to the demon’s chamber.įury confronts Abraxis, demanding to know why the Lord of Hollows has asked her to kill him, to which the demon responds with a counter-offer: kill the Lord of Hollows instead. Instead of using the Storm Hollow to float to the scaffolding, float the other direction to enter a cave right above the cliff. If not, the demon can be found in The Scar area, beyond an isolated cliff with a tornado that you can use to reach a nearby scaffolding.

Agreeing to kill the Lord of Hollows will allow you to skip a fight with Abraxis and view a cutscene in which the demon reveals who his master is, which you may have already guessed. You could kill both Abraxis and the Lord of Hollows if you want to try your hand at both boss fights in the same playthrough. Towards the end of the game, the game presents you with a choice: kill the demon Abraxis or the Lord of Hollows. This is the only time you are asked to make a decision that impacts the ending, and while there isn’t really a “right” decision, there is one that yields the most benefits in that it reveals more of the story and is likely the “true” ending that will link up with the next game in the series. Much like in Darksiders 2, some of these can only be seen if the right choice is made at a certain point in the game. Though, arguably, not quite as satisfying as that of the original, the Darksiders 3 storyline has its own twists and turns and shocking revelations to boot. The story, on the other hand, retains much of its oomph. Fans of the first two titles seem to have taken issue with the new gameplay mechanics, which force players to take a more tactical approach to combat, with many elements seemingly inspired from From Software’s notoriously challenging Dark Souls and Bloodborne series. The third installment in the Darksiders franchise comes six years after the sequel, so expectations were naturally high. Darksiders III may not have received as flattering a reception as its predecessors, but it is an enjoyable experience in its own right, with a story that ties in quite well with overarching narrative.
